| 1. | How do I view all previously processed Blind Bids? Answer: The commissioner can view all previously process waivers in the For Commissioner > Previously Processed Waivers.
To allow owners to view the same previously processed waivers report that appears under the For Commissioner you will need to enable this setting in the For Commissioner > Setup > Abilities Setup. Check the boxes for each owner to be able to view this report and the report will then appear in the Reports > Franchise > Previously Processed Waivers.
Note: If you only wish for your owners to see the awarded players (and not all requests or bids) you will not want to enable this setting and instruct them to only view the Reports > Franchise > Transactions. Here they only can view all Waiver Moves and their own individual requests or bids.

| 2. | How are tie bids awarded in the offseason when no standings have occurred? Answer: If your league chooses to sort tie bids by the Sorting Criteria based on your standings, then by default, the system will award bids based on the Franchise Order in the preseason. It will then use the sort criteria defined once Week 1 results have updated.
In the preseason you can define a Custom Waiver Order on the Setup > Custom Waiver Order Setup where this order will be used to award bids in the event of a tie.

| 3. | How do I Enter Blind Bidding Requests? Answer: Enter Blind Bidding Waivers
Non-Conditional Blind Bidding allows owners to enter all players that they wish to bid on in one group. To enter a Bid go to the For Owners > Waivers during your Blind Bidding Event and choose a Player to Add. Now, enter a Dollar amount and then choose a player to drop from your roster if needed to stay within your roster limits. You can continue to add all bid requests in this window and then Save your Bids when complete.
The system will then process these bids and players will be awarded based on the highest bidder.
Submit Conditional Blind Bids
Conditional blind bids are a lot like waiver request waiver moves, in that owners can enter multiple groups of waiver moves, and prioritize their picks in each round. Each group's worth of requests is looked at, top to bottom, and the first bid that is considered valid is the one that the system will accept, ignoring future bids in that group. Here's a concrete example of how conditional blind bidding works, assuming franchises 1 and 2, and players A through Z, with a season-long blind bidding limit of $20, and no owners having any money spent on blind bidding.
| Franchise |
Group |
Add |
Drop |
Bid |
| 1 |

Z |

B |
Z |

A |
X |
$4 |
| 2 |
2 |
C |
W |
$5 |
| 2 |
2 |
D |
W |
$1 |
Read as English, these bids mean:
- Franchise 1, in group 1, wants to acquire player A for a bid of $5, and drop player Z. If that bid cannot be done, he wants to acquire player B for a bid of $8, and drop player Z. Note that even though the bid for player B is higher than the bid for player A, the bid for player A is listed first, and therefore given higher priority.
- Franchise 1, in group 2, wants to acquired player C for a bid of $6, and drop player Y. If that bid cannot be done, he wants to acquire player D for a bid of $2, and drop player Y.
- Franchise 2, in group 1, wants to acquire player A for a bid of $4, and drop player X. Note that this bid does not have a second-ranked bid, so if this bid does not go through, player X will remain on franchise 2's roster.
- Franchise 2, in group 2, wants to acquire player C for a bid of $5, and drop player W. If that bid cannot go through, then he wants to acquire player D for a bid of $1, and drop player W.
In this above example, if these were the only bids for the waiver period the system would award them as follows:
Franchise 1 would get Player A for $5 and Drop Player Z, his second request for Player B would be ignored in that group.
Franchise 1 would also get Player C for $6 and drop Player Y, Player D would be ignored.
Franchise 2 would get Player D for $1 and drop Player W.
On the process waivers page, the system will look at the bids, starting with the highest dollar amount top priority bid, and continue looking at bids until all are processed (either successfully, by doing the add/drop, or unsuccessfully, because the bid is considered invalid), and by default select the bid that it thinks should go through (or "None", if it considers all bids invalid).
Conditional Blind Bid Example #2:
| Franchise |
Group |
Add |
Bid |
| Team A |
1 |
Player 1 |
$71 |
| Team A |
1 |
Player 2 |
$101 |
| Team B |
1 |
Player 1 |
$90 |
| Team B |
1 |
Player 2 |
$80 |
| Team C |
1 |
Player 2 |
$100 |
| Team C |
1 |
Player 1 |
$60 |
The following would result in:
Team B would gets Player 1 for $90.
Team C would get Player 2 for $100, as Team A had player 2 hidden by the higher priority and therefore would already be won by Team C.

| 4. | Is Ladder Bidding supported in Blind Bids? Answer: No, Ladder bidding is not supported. If you submit bids as follows:
- Franchise 1
- Add Player A, Drop Player B $1
- Add Player A, Drop Player B $2
- Add Player A, Drop Player B $3
- Add Player A, Drop Player B $4
- Franchise 2
- Add Player A, Drop Player C $2
In Non-Conditional Bidding: Franchise 1 would win for $4 as the system views all the submitted bids and awards the highest bid on a player.
In Conditional Bidding: Franchise 2 would win for $2 as the system looks at the highest priority bid and ignores the rest. Since both were for Player A it simply viewed the first bid submitted by Franchise 1 for Player A for $1 and ignored the remaining conditions.

| 6. | Why is the sorting not correct for my tiebreaker in blind bidding? Answer: There are two reasons that this can occur.
1. You have selected to have the "Earliest Submitted Bid" on the Blind Bidding Setup screen.
2. You have the "Head to Head Record" sort criterion defined too high in your priority list.
The H2H Record sort criterion compares two individual teams at a time. In a four team league, A-D, there would be six H2H Record matchups: AB, AC, AD, BC, BD, and CD. Unfortunately this tie-breaker is less useful when there are three or more teams tied. If teams A, B, & C are all tied and during the season A beat B who beat C who beat A, then they all have a 1-0 record with 'the group', but certainly not with each other specific team. As the season progresses, this is a rather unlikely, but possible, occurrence.
To correct this sorting problem, a league can either move the H2H Record sort to a lower sort criteria or remove this option altogether.

| 7. | How do I submit blind bid requests as commissioner for an owner? Answer: In the event that you as commissioner need to submit a blind bid request for an owner you may do so by going to the Reports > Franchise > Franchise Information (or selecting the owner from the standings if chosen to take you to their Franchise Information Report). Here you can choose from the list of their options to enter “Blind Bidding Waiver Requests" for that owner.

| 8. | Why are waivers processing right away when I go to perform a waiver when our league calendar shows that blind bidding is currently set up? Answer: You are not logging in as the owner, but as the commissioner. Therefore, all waivers/transactions will automatically process regardless of the rules. It will always perform in a First Come - First Served waiver fashion.
If this is not the case then you have defined your league to separate Free Agents from True Waivers, therefore the players that you are able to add to your roster in a First Come - First Served manner are free agents that you are obtaining from the Acquire Free Agents screen. You will need to have your commissioner go to your For Commissioner > Setup > Waivers/Free Agents Setup and remove the option to request locked players.

| 9. | How do I allow trading for Blind Bidding dollars? Answer: If your league is set up to use Blind Bidding for your waivers you can go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Trades and enable the option:
Allow Owners to trade blind bidding dollars"
Note that this feature will not properly work if you choose to charge your blind bidding dollars as real dollars.

| 10. | Can we drop multiple players for blind bids? Answer: No, only one player may be dropped with every corresponding bids.
If your league is set up to use a "Soft Cap" then owners do not need to drop the player(s) prior to winning the bid. The system will process the waivers and allow the cap to be exceeded. Once awarded, the owners may then drop these players from their team to keep them within their salary parameters.
If a "Hard Cap" is enabled, owners would have to be within their salary cap limit in order to be awarded their bid. The system does not take into account the dropped players salary when processing, therefore they need to have enough available funds for the player they wish to acquire in order to win the bid.
Alternately, the commissioner can process all bids. By doing this he can either exceed the hard cap so that the owner must drop these players prior to submitting a lineup or in the comments section of the bid the owner may request the other player to be dropped in order to maintain their salary limits.

| 11. | How do the Groups work for Blind Bidding? Answer: The term "Group" for blind bidding is merely a placeholder for additional bids when using Conditional Bidding. These groups hold no prioritizing value, but simply hold additional bids when more than one player is desired. Bids will be awarded on the highest winning conditional bid regardless of the group that it is entered.

| 12. | What is the difference between conditional and non-conditional blind bidding?
Answer: Conditional bidding allows an owner to bid on player A and if not awarded, then bid on player B. Non-conditional ("regular") bidding just has an owner bid on player A and then bid on player B. In this latter case, the owner could get both players A and B. In the former, the owner would only get one of the two.
Note that in Conditional Bidding you would enter players in multiple groups in order to receive several players, but the Groups are merely placeholders for these bids and have no weighted value.
For the Non-Conditional Bids these are based on the highest bids winning. If all dollar values for all bid requests are the same, then the system will award the players in the order that they are entered by the owner.

| 14. | How do I use the Blind Bidding Waivers Setup page? Answer:
Define Blind Bidding Waiver parameters using this screen.
NOTE: This page requires that at least one "Blind Bidding" waiver type be defined using the League Calendar Setup
screen.
Salary Cap Dollars And Blind Bidding Dollars Treated As One And The Same- This option is only available if the league has enabled the use of salary cap support on the General League Setup
page. When set to 'Yes', a winning blind bid amount populates the player's current salary. This will also prevent the commissioner from entering various fields on this setup page, as the blind bidding amount is programmatically determined based on values define on the General Salary Cap Setup
.
Do Winning Blind Bid Waiver Amounts Get Assigned As Player Salaries? Turning this option on causes the system to assign blind bid amounts as player salaries.
Max. Blind Bidding Amount - Enter the overall amount each owner may spend on blind bidding waivers throughout the season. Do not include special characters (ie, "$" and ",").
All Blind Bids Must Be In Increments Of - Enter a value in this field to define a minimum raise in order for one franchise to outbid another. For example, if you enter "1" and the current bid on a player is "5", a new bid of at least "6" is required to outbid the current bid.
Minimum Blind Bid Amount - Specify a value here to create a floor (lowest amount) for all initial bids.
Amount charged for player acquired via FCFS waivers - Specify a value here to have this amount charged to an owners blind bidding balance when making a First Come - First Served waiver move.
Auto-Processing Support - Enable this feature to automatically process all blind bid waiver requests at the end of each blind bid waiver event as defined in the League Calendar Setup
screen. Note that waivers are never automatically processed on Sundays between 12pm ET and midnight Monday morning, as that's when games are on-going. If your league would like waivers to be processed on Sundays, the commissioner must manually process waivers.
Conditional Blind Bid Support - Disabled by default, commissioners can enable this to allow for blind bidding.
